Arctic Oil Recovery Exercise & Conference 2015 in Kemi

Finnish Environment Institute will host a Full-Scale Oil Recovery Exercise 24-26 March 2015 in Kemi, Finland. The Exercise contains different  modules. There will be Alert Exercise, to alert relevant bodies and partners. Here HELCOM countries form a main target. EU DG ECHO and EMSA will be consulted here as well. One Day Long  Exercise including, aerial surveillance, satellite monitoring and mechanical recovery tasks.

Two days long HIgh Level Conference will be in Kemi Cultural Centre. The main topics in conference will be Arctic Environment, Mechanical Oil Recovery, Ice and Weather Services in Arctic, Ice performance of ships and Monitoring and Surveillance.
